About
Joseph Butts — the photographer behind J Butts Photography, Canton, Ohio.
J Butts Photography is a Canton, Ohio photography business built on one simple belief: the best photographs are honest ones. From relaxed family portraits to loud nights in small music venues, this studio shows up ready to capture people as they really are.
What We Do
We photograph portraits, family sessions, events, and live music across Canton and Northeast Ohio. Portrait and family work here is unhurried and personal — no stiff posing assembly lines. Event coverage is quiet and complete. And live music is our specialty: low light, fast movement, and the raw energy of a great show, documented the way it actually felt.
A Note About the Cats
Regulars will tell you the cat portraits are a signature of this studio. Photographing cats — including Tom Tom, a former feral whose rescue story became our best-known work — taught us the patience that goes into every session we book, furry clients or not.
